The Middle East is an area where automobile is king and fuel is cheap, often leaving little incentive to discover more environmentally-friendly methods of moving around.
But this year, as demonstrations across the Middle East have pushed up the cost of oil, the issue of discovering alternative sources of fuel has entered sharp focus.
In an area that has one of the greatest carbon footprints in the world, one business is benefiting from the growing pressure to discover options to oil. It's set up the Middle East's very first plan to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's showing rewarding too, already their client-list contains McDonald's.
