The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst for Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

He evaluates and tests cleaning equipment, focusing on robot vacuums and mopping combos. These multitaskers are an excellent option for those who wish to get mopping off their to-do list. Some have great mapping capabilities and obstacle avoidance. Some wash and refill mopping pads themselves for a hands-free cleaning.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model to choose if you want an automatic vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It's smaller than the other models on this list, making it easier to navigate in tight corners and under furniture. It has a 220 degree Lidar which, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, offers some of my favorite navigation and object avoidance capabilities I've seen in the form of a robotic vacuum. It packs a powerful 4600mAh battery which lasts up to 170-minutes if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It will even return to its dock to recharge its battery in mid-clean.

It's efficient and does an outstanding job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted areas extremely quickly, and the hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways in a single pass. The motor's 8,000pa power allows it to pick up dirt hair, pet hair, and droppings easily. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects carpets and the dual side brush assists in removing debris from corners.

The mopping performance, though still impressive, isn't as impressive. The mop's rotating mechanism spins fast and makes use of 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a little more than other robots. This is useful when getting into narrow corners or on baseboards. The front arms can also be used to pick up larger pieces of debris, like books and broken toys.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest Robot vacuum mops mop and vacuums I've tested. It is quieter and doesn't create as much noise when vacuuming or mopping. The only issue is that the S1 Pro must use a specific cleaning solution to perform mopping, and is sold separately from the vacuum. It is simple to install and works well. However should you purchase this vacuum solely to mop, you will need to be aware of this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It is a powerful machine for cleaning with a range of features.

The device comes with a powerful cleaning system that incorporates LiDAR sensor technology and an RGB camera. This allows it to map out the home, identify furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean methodically and intelligently. This will result in an effective, consistent cleaning which is also relatively quick.

In terms of mopping, the Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads are capable of reaching an array of surface areas. They can reach corners and baseboards as well as other hard-to-reach areas. The side brush can be stretched to extend to the floor, close to the walls or other fixtures. In addition, the mop pads can be dried and washed to avoid build-up and lessen the odors.

App-based customization is yet another noteworthy feature. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the suction strength and select either a back-and-forth or a random pattern. You can also adjust the number of passes it should make, which will determine the speed at which the device can move through your home. You can also deactivate the side brush to prevent damage to carpets and rug.

The device is costly, however it has many useful features. It is important to remember that the device incurs recurring expenses in the form mopping supplies as well as regular maintenance. For example brushrolls need to be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter is to be cleaned every 150 hrs, and the mop pads must be changed every three month.

The robot vacuum mop has an excellent Amazon rating and includes many physical automation features. These include an energy button that doubles as a general 'Clean' button and a 'Home button that will take it back to its base station after finishing its cleaning session. It also has a multifunctional dock that automatically empties the trash bin and refills its water tank to mop and washes and dry its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

If you're a busy professional or just want an organized home that doesn't require a lot of time on chores The Shark Matrix Plus is a good choice. Its incredibly fast performance, sophisticated navigation and long battery life make it easy to maintain a clean house with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop that is, it can do mopping and vacuuming. The robot has two modules: a combined dry bin and water reservoir, and a separate mopping unit with microfiber pads that snap into and out of the way. It's a little old-fashioned to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping however it does mean that you don't need to worry about changing out disposable bags or refilling the tank of water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming as well as mopping. Its greatest feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it utilizes when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate effortlessly around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app allows you to create 'No-Go Zones' and virtual barriers to prevent certain areas from being cleaned by mop.

We also noticed that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well at picking up hair of pets. It was able to capture an enormous amount of hair our cats shed and even found its way into the nooks and crevices of our stairs, where other robots struggled. It was fairly silent and also had a few lovely jingles to let you know when it was about to start or completing its task.

The biggest flaws were its simple app and the need to swap out the modules when switching between vacuuming and mopping. The app isn't able to store multiple maps, which can be a hassle if you have a home that has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus is a good choice for people who want an intelligent robot that can perform both vacuuming and mopping.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive in our review. It does however, have distinct features that are worth a look. The X1 Omni's most appealing feature is its huge dock that serves as the robot's charging base and housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a cleaning sink, and a 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically emptys.

The base has a couple of buttons for control that allow you to manually begin a cleaning task or recall the robot, or run the dock’s auto-emptying procedure. Hold down two of the buttons to toggle a child lock, which is a nice touch for parents worried about children playing with the vacuum.

The Omni Omni, like other robotic vacuums uses its camera to detect obstacles and furniture in its path. It will stay clear of them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system maps your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more precise in finding objects.

Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni can occasionally get caught up in obstacles, like an electrical cord dangling across a rug, that it gets stuck and stops working until you remove it manually. While this was rare, it was a frustrating experience when it happened and especially because the X1 Omni doesn't have a "stuck" status alert in its app.

The X1 Omni cannot automatically switch from mopping to vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You will have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad, except that the mopping pad doesn't get cleaned or dried between use. This can lead to mildew and mold.

On the bright side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang &amp
